I had the sketch for this picture way back around before Christmas and I've been anxious to get to this one. There was no real idea other than her pose..the forest was just something that happened when i sat down to try and think of a setting.

An epic project because , hell, I wanted to paint an intense sword fight scene. Sadly , I didn't consider the ninjas' outfit colours until it was pointed out to me that they look like surgeons in scrubs. Nonetheless, I'm reasonably happy with the finished product here.

This is a character I promised to paint for a friend of mine. I had been meaning to try a sort of concave looking sky perspective for a painting. The colour scheme is hugely inspired by Maxfield Parrish since i really love those almost surreal sunset settings he rendered. The pic was done in Painter on a single layer using a custom oil brush. Brutal critques are very welcome.

This surreal piece was done for a friend of mine loosely based on an idea of hers. I kept the fish skeletons a little stylised to add a little more charm to the pic. 2 and a half days in painter on one layer using one brush.

This arduous piece was a 6 day opus i put about 4 or so hours a day into between other jobs. there was a lot of juggling reference pictures and even more time correcting perspective mistakes. and it's still not perfect in that aspect. i don't usually showcase my more stylised work on larger forums as it's not as "mature" i fear. and it's probably the last until i do more work that's less cartoony. anyhow, this was done in Painter with an original working size of 5000 x 5000 pixels.

This picture started out as a silly sketch of a girl with a sword, then i just added the other two to try and round out the composition. I wanted a warm, brown/sepia feel to it. It's the first time i've used a pallette knife for a background or anything for that matter. I was rather happy with the background texture.

DC's Starfire. 20 hours over 4 days in painter. Had a few references for the b/g but no real direct reference other than painfully laying out a 3pt grid in Photoshop beforehand. I wish the character was as strong as the background.

Rosa sits on her Mercedes SL65 somewhere in London. This pic took a few days in Painter 7. No real reference for the background, but a personal foto was referenced for car. It was a little tricky because the car in the foto was black.
